ZTE and the Houston Rockets Team Up for Season of Giving
ZTE, the 4th largest Smartphone provider in the United States, today revealed more details about its partnership with the Houston Rockets to support its 2013 Season of Giving program. Throughout this holiday season, Rockets players, coaches and staff will host a series of events for hundreds of children and their families in the greaterHouston area in order to give back and spread cheer to those who need it most.
To date, ZTE and the Rockets have hosted two community events and ZTE sponsored the December 6 charity night game, while a third community event is still on the horizon. On November 26, the partners invited children from the Boys and Girls Club, Casa de Esperanza and Kids Meals to a movie night with the Rockets players, where kids got to enjoy a pre-Thanksgiving meal and private screening of the newly released animated movie “Free Birds” with the Rockets star, Dwight Howard. Then on December 3, ZTE and the Rockets brought kids from the Boys and Girls Club together with Howard, Terrence Jones, Francisco Garcia and Ronnie Brewer to go on the holiday shopping spree of a lifetime. Lastly, the Season of Giving program will culminate in a Bowling Night on December 17, where kids will get to bowl against Jeremy Lin.

The Season of Giving events are the latest in a long line of ZTEUSA’s charitable efforts. The company has supported additional organizations such as a residential home inKansas City,MOthat offers preventative and therapeutic services to children suffering the effects of abuse and neglect, a charity golf tournament, and various events with the Boys and Girls Club.
