Local Las Vegas youth learn what it takes to win on and off the court.
ZTE USA, the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the U.S. and second largest in the no-contract market*, today announced the second annual ZTE Summer Series basketball clinic. Coaches Spud Webb, Melvin Ely and Satnam Singh will teach Las Vegas youth, ages five to 18, how to be successful on and off the court. The free two-day clinics take place July 9th and 10th and July 16th and 17th at the Walnut Community Center from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Fifty participants will be chosen based on a first-come, first-served basis. “We are excited to host our second annual youth summer basketball clinic this year to help teach young players the necessarily tools to succeed in both basketball and life,” said Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA. “Our inaugural clinic last summer was a great success with over 200 youth attending and the ability to make an impact on the local community is something we look forward to doing every year.”
Participants will receive hands-on instructions by coaches on how to perfect shooting and dribbling technique, hear from each of them on life lessons learned throughout their career as well as receive a courtesy “ZTE Summer Series” t-shirt, opportunities for photos and autographs with the guest coaches and the ability to participate in giveaways.
